Facilities Protocol 2020

Facilities Protocol - 5/21/2020

Hello Norkenzie Leaders!

Thank you for your love for Christ and His church! Thank you for leading a Group or Team, too. What you do advances the Kingdom among us. I am grateful for you and your ministry!

We have put together this protocol document for reopening our church facilities for group gatherings and team meetings. As the leader of your Group or Team, we ask that you communicate these guidelines to all who attend and be responsible to assure they are followed.

Current regulations limit gatherings to under 25 people, but we expect this to change in the weeks to come. We are following these regulations for the benefit and health of our people and to maintain our witness for Jesus in this culture.

As before COVID-19, you may check for availability and schedule your meetings through Lori Gant in the church office (lori@norkenzie.net; 541.485.8564). Other than approved and scheduled gatherings, the church facilities are closed. If you are a key holder, all of those expectations still apply.

We are encouraging LifeGroups and Bible Study Groups (8-12 people) to meet in homes, but also understand there are varying circumstances. We will steward the facilities on a case-by-case basis. Priority will remain with our Children and Youth Ministries and our Community Groups (15-50 people).

That being said, an empty church building does not bring glory to God or advance His Kingdom. Let’s move forward together!

If you have any questions, please reach out to me or one of the Elders. Thank you!

Neil Johnston
