24 Hours of Prayer
The 29th is our Day! We cover the entire day (12:00am - 11:59pm) in prayer for our community and church family.
PRAYER LISTS
Thank you for joining in prayer for Norkenzie and the greater community. Here is a framework for your 30-60 minutes. Pray through the acrostic A.C.T.I.V.E. and then on to the Prayer Lists!
A.C.T.I.V.E.
Adoration
Adoration means worship! Praise the Father for who He is and what He has done!
Love the Lord, all his faithful people! The Lord preserves those who are true to him, but the proud he pays back in full.
Psalm 31:23
Confession
Confession means agreeing with God about your sin. Express sorrow and ask for forgiveness for anything that is opposed to His goodness.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.
1 John 1:9-10
Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving means expressing gratitude to God.
I will praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving.
Psalm 69:30
Intercession
Intercession means lifting up our needs to the Father.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7
Vanquishing The Enemy
Vanquishing the enemy means recognizing that we are not wrestling against other people, but God has an enemy who works against His will.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Ephesians 6:10-12
Extreme Prayers
Extreme Prayers are the ones prayed in Jesus' Name that He promised to do. These are specifically about His Kingdom advancing in and through His people.
And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.
John 14:13-14
PRAY FOR OUR COMMUNITY
We are a part of the larger church in Eugene/Springfield and Lane County! There are 40+ other churches who each take one day of month to pray.
PRAY FOR THE CHURCH FAMILY
Grow
Pray that we would Grow in our devotion to Jesus this month. Pray that Jesus would help us see what habits we may need to change to deepen our devotion to Him.
Pray that we grow as a church family as we meet together for one service. Pray that as we experience more unity, we would also experience new decisions for Christ in baptism.
Gather
Pray that we would continue to Gather together as friends and family during the summer.
Pray for Isaac, our worship leader. Pray that God would give him grace and wisdom to lead our hearts in musical worship.
Give
Pray that we would Give our lives away in meaningful service.
Pray that God would give us eyes to see people around us who are in need and hearts to meet that need.
Pray that our LifeGroup Leaders will be gifted to guide their groups into a closer relationship with God and with each other. Thank Him for our LifeGroup Leaders and their willingness to serve. Pray His blessings and protection over them.
Pray that each staff member will be filled with the knowledge of His will, walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, bear fruit in every good work, and increase in the knowledge of God. (Col. 1:9-10) Pray His blessings and protection over them.
Go
Pray that we would Go on Mission with Jesus. Pray that we would grow in our awareness of those around us who do not know Jesus.
This month we are praying for Dan and Jan Smith. The Smiths have been serving in the ministry of International Students, Inc. (ISI) and sharing Christ with students since 1986. The beginning of school brings students from all over the world to Eugene. Please pray that each new student will have the kind of childlike faith that we all need in order to be born into our Father’s family.
