Plan Your Visit

Sometimes visiting a church can be overwhelming.

Where do I go? Where do my kids go and will they be safe? What will the music be like? What will people be wearing? Will it be weird? To answer some of these questions before you arrive, here’s what you can expect:

PARKING

If it’s your first time at Norkenzie, then you are our VIP and we have reserved parking just for you. Park right up front close to the doors. These spots are left open for you.

Or… park around back and sneak in through the back door!

.

THE FIRESIDE ROOM

The Fireside Room is a main connection point for everyone at Norkenzie. There is a Welcome Team member around to get you the information you and your family need to have a great experience at Norkenzie.

For your first visit with us, we would love to hand you information about the church and answer any questions you might have. If you have children with you, we’ll help with the process of checking them into the NorkenzieKids Children’s Ministry followed by a tour of the children’s areas and anywhere else you may like.

NorkenzieKids

We are so passionate to help kids learn about Jesus in a way they can understand, that we encourage them to attend NorkenzieKids rather than our service, but they are always welcome to stay with their families.  We love to see families worship together.

If you attend our 9am service all kids 1st – 5th grade go up stairs for a time of worship and teaching.  Pre K and Kindergartners have Sunday School down stairs.

During our 11am service 2nd-5th graders meet with us in the sanctuary for worship and are excused later for Children’s Church.

Nursery is available during both services.

THE SERVICE

After dropping off your children, you can make your way to the Sanctuary. There are Ushers who can answer many basic questions and help you find the best seat. You’ll notice a friendly, relaxed, exciting environment where people are dressed casually. If you arrive a little late and the room looks full, don’t worry – we’ll help direct you to an open spot.

Message notes and Bible verses are displayed both on a large screen so you’ll be able to make the most of the practical and relevant message.

If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give money. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” which is fine with us. So come in, grab a free cup of coffee, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and enjoy yourself.

KIDS’ CHECK-IN

Your children’s safety and security is important to us.  We want you to experience worship of God while your children have a great time in class.  To help with this we use a check in/out system in Children’s Ministry.

You’ll find the Kids’ Check-In in the Fireside Room.

THE MESSAGE

Teaching is a primary focus of our services and goes for 30 minutes. Every week, you can expect a Bible-based message that will encourage, challenge and empower you as you seek Jesus and grow throughout your week. Listen to past messages here.

TITHES & OFFERINGS

At Norkenzie there is no pressure to give in our services. In fact, if you’re our guest, please don’t feel any obligation to give — the service is our gift to you. There will be a time during the service where the people that follow Jesus and call Norkenzie their church home give offerings to support the mission of the church.

MUSIC

Energetic. Relevant. Passionate. These are a few of the words people use to describe the music at Norkenzie.

Norkenzie is blessed with talented musicians who love Jesus and serve His church through modern music as well as fresh takes on old hymns. Through music, we want to help people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ by giving them a voice to connect and express their passion to God, as well as leading them into His transforming Presence on a weekly basis.
