90 Days of Blessing (And Beyond)!

Through the One Hope network www.onehopenetwork.org , the city of Eugene/Springfield is being mobilized quite possibly a never before!  Imagine if every believer of Christ were to intentionally serve this community in practical loving ways.  Imagine the collective impact that the Body of Christ could have here in this place we call home.

Below is a list to help you get started if you haven't yet found a place to serve this summer.  You do not need to serve for 90 straight days!  No, the idea is to do just one thing to bless our community.  It's possible that what God leads you to, will take just a single day.  Great!  Collectively, we will be blessing our community for 90 days.  So read this list, pray about it, discuss ideas with your family and small group, make a phone call our two, schedule a day ... and go for it!  You'll find Jesus in the midst of the serving.
  • Soup Kitchens (your group can help prepare and serve meals for needy people)
  • Retirement Centers (schedule time to visit and play board games with some seniors)
  • Nursing Homes (pair up people with an elderly person for regular visits)
  • Disabled Services (deliver meals or whatever other tasks are needed)
  • Abuse Agencies (office work, cleaning, decorating, donations)
  • Homeless Ministries (prepare or serve meals, donate or sort clothes, donate personal hygiene items)
  • Jails or Prisons (visit your local jail or prison and see what ministry opportunities exist)
  • Mentoring (weekly or monthly mentoring for Big brother/Big Sister or at your local school)
  • Special Olympics (volunteer to help special needs kids)
